Mixed Age Classroom (2½ – 5 Years)
Our Mixed Age Classroom provides a nurturing, play-based environment where children ages 2½ to 5 years build confidence, independence, and a love of learning. Through hands-on experiences, meaningful play, and developmentally appropriate activities, children grow socially, emotionally, physically, and academically at their own pace.
Children explore a variety of learning centers focused on literacy, math, science, art, music and movement, dramatic play, sensory experiences, and creative expression. Teachers support each child’s individual growth while encouraging problem-solving, critical thinking, communication, and positive social interactions.
As children prepare for their next steps into kindergarten, they continue developing independence, conflict resolution skills, and the confidence needed to become capable, curious learners. The mixed-age setting allows children to learn from one another while building empathy, cooperation, and a strong sense of community.
