This classroom serves as a continuation of our skills implemented in the preschool classrooms. Here the children will develop those skills further and gain greater insight and knowledge that will support their next steps into the elementary school setting. In the pre-k class they focus on independence, honing in on their social emotional skills, increasing their critical thinking skills, and further developing their conflict resolution techniques, all within the confines of a developmentally appropriate , hands-on play based environment. Children have the choice to maneuver through the varied learning centers offered. Including but not limited to music and movement, art, science, math centers, literacy centers, journal work  and sensory experiences. Small group time encompasses the key learning experiences as well as children's interest. We will continue to weave social emotional skills and principals throughout our day to day curriculum.
